I am a Nurse Practitioner/Midwife in practice since 1987 when I finished my Masters Degree at Georgetown University. My interest in Women's Healthcare dates back to my college years-I graduated Hamilton College with a BA in Film and Photography. When there I started The Women's Resource Center creating a clearinghouse of local healthcare options and encouraging health education and self understanding.

When I returned to school, obtaining my BS in Nursing from New York University, I volunteered at the Chelsea Women's Health Collective where I was a "Lay cap fitter" (really). That was my first clinical position. We were an FDA clinical site for the original cervical cap research. Lots of water under the bridge since then.
Services
Holistic Health
Report
My philosophy of care is that the patient should be encouraged and educated to find her own path through her life and health challenges. By helping her see where her challenges are and providing options to work on them, she can engage in her healing path and move forward towards greater health. In this process I use western lab tests and imaging exams that are appropriate and desired.
Birth Counseling
Report
Helping women find their path through birth requires the mom to have an open mind, flexibility and honesty with herself. The intensity of birth, I believe, is there to inform us of the enormity of the event. The creation of life is no small deal. No matter how many births I attended-and I have been at well over 1000, it is still amazing and humbling that at the end of this intense process this new little being emerges.
Health Counseling
Report
Health counseling can be useful for most of us, at some point in our lives. While many of us know exactly what we should be doing in terms of achieving optimal health-somehow we just can't seem to act on that knowledge. Counseling helps you find the motivation and structure to act on that understanding.
Life Counseling
Report
Life counseling focuses on you and how you are being in life-family, relationship, spirituality, personal growth and work. When a person has balance and connectedness within and between these areas generally there is a sense of contentment and positive progression through life. The ideal balance between these areas is different for each of us, and different throughout our lives.
Directions

Turn left on Lyons Avenue. I am on the right almost to the end of the street. It is a residential street and building-red brick. There is a sign out front, there are stairs on the right of the house, the entrance\ is down the stairs and around the back. There is plenty of street parking. Exit either at Rio Road and turn left onto Rio which becomes Park street.
