Gary Rainwater – Paintings
Report
Gary Rainwater has lived at least three lives - all at once - spanning a 22-year career as a LA fireman; re-building (and building) large boats starting in 1956; and working as a painter and a woodcarver all along the way. You might have toured his restored vessel during the Wooden Boat Festival this year: S. V. Ladyhawk, originally a Danish fishing boat, shows evidence of Rainwater's artistry throughout.
KarenLee Eaton – Photography
Report
KarenLee Eaton has been taking pictures since she came upon her dad's old 35mm Pentax SLR, and begged him to teach her how to use it; she was seven years old. Born and raised in Port Townsend, on the picturesque Olympic Peninsula, KarenLee is naturally drawn to land and seascape photography. Her most recent work has been in processing certain beach and water images to reflect a serigraph style.
Michael Hale – Paintings
Report
Born in the Northwest, Michael Hale has been at his art since the time he could hold a pencil and later a brush. Majoring in his second love of architecture he attended Washington State University where he minored in fine art. Not liking the ridged conformities of architecture, he switched to a commercial art program at the Burnley School of Professional Art in Seattle.
Richard Lawson-Photographer
Report
My passion in life has been to inspire and nourish people through both my photography and previously in a long career as a clinical psychologist. I believe my camera is a divining rod to beauty. Appreciating beauty can open the heart and when our hearts are open we are more receptive to love and inspiration.
