Services
Equine Assisted Mental Health
Our licensed mental health professionals use equine interactions to address emotional trauma, anxiety, and behavioral challenges. Sessions combine horse care with therapeutic interventions to improve emotional regulation and self-confidence. This evidence-based approach helps clients develop coping skills through structured activities with horses.
Adaptive Horsemanship
Specially trained instructors guide riders with physical disabilities through horsemanship activities that improve balance, coordination, and motor skills. Participants learn riding techniques while developing emotional connections with horses. This program benefits individuals with cerebral palsy, stroke recovery needs, and mobility impairments.
Physical Therapy
Physical therapists utilize horseback riding to enhance core strength and improve neuromuscular function. The horse's movement pattern provides sensory input that promotes better posture and coordination. This treatment benefits clients with multiple sclerosis, spinal injuries, and balance disorders.
Occupational Therapy
Therapists integrate equine activities with functional skill development to improve daily living abilities. Sessions focus on sensory integration, fine motor skills, and cognitive development through horse-related tasks. This program supports individuals with autism, sensory processing disorders, and developmental delays.
Nature-Based Therapy
Our farm environment provides natural settings for therapeutic activities that combine gardening, animal care, and outdoor education. These sessions promote sensory development and environmental awareness through hands-on learning experiences. Ideal for clients seeking holistic, experiential treatment approaches.

I love Healing Reins. My therapist is amazing and the horses (and goats) are all very friendly. Their unique personalities make this experience very enjoyable. The animals alos seem happy, which is really important to me.

I can't speak to how this can really benefit people, even though I participated in 3 months of riding here. I left feeling like I knew less than when I arrived. But that's fine. What is absolutely 110% NOT fine is the condition of the horses. In addition to participating here as a client I also volunteered and can say without a doubt this place needs to be shut down. This is NOT healthy place for any horse. You know you have a problem when all your horses are on ulcer medication. And just how often are these poor horses used? They're emotional state is guy wrenching and makes me

We've been going to healing reins for a year for our daughter. It has been a huge help and is a wonderful facility. The staff really cares and Laurie is awesome with kids. She worked through a lot of really tough behaviors and helped my daughter's speech and receptive language blossom.

I understand I've done a 180. But after a couple of years experience with the facility & staff, I have learned more, experienced more and am very, very unhappy with how some issues are handled... or NOT HANDLED! There are communication issues. There are issues with follow-up/follow-through & transition. There is no formal complaint process.
