Yes, upon successful completion of the basic rider class, you will be given a form to take to the DMV where they will add the Motorcycle endorsement to your license. Please wear full fingered gloves, a long-sleeved shirt or jacket, pants, over the ankle footwear, and eye protection glasses or sunglasses are fine.
