Dr. Toral Parag graduated from Cornell University and Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She completed her residency at UC San Diego and is board-certified in pediatrics. She speaks English, Spanish, and Gujarati.
Amit Parag
Pediatrician
Dr. Amit Parag earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville and completed residency at Kosair Children's Hospital. He is board-certified in pediatrics and speaks English and Gujarati.

What insurance plans do you accept?
We accept PPOs, Tricare, some HMOs, Caloptima, and Medi-cal. Please call our office for specific insurance verification.
Do you offer same-day sick appointments?
Yes, we provide same-day appointments for acute illness evaluations during regular business hours.
Are vaccines required for patients?
We follow CDC and AAP guidelines requiring vaccinations on the standard schedule. We do not accept alternative schedules.
What should I bring to first visits?
Please bring photo ID, insurance card, immunization records, and all current medications for your child's visit.

I like Dr. Toral, she knows her thing and won't waste people's time with hypocrite chit-chat, she is professional and that's what my kids need, I don't need my doctor to overdue with the fake nice white actitud.

Toral Parag visited us at mission hospital upon the birth of our first child. Our experience was.. not pleasant. Toral treated us as though we were not worth her time; several other professionals I have spoken to agreed that they have felt as though they were talked down to when dealing with Toral. She did, however, seem very knowledgeable from our short visit with her, but ultimately I cannot recommend her.

My son has been a patient here for almost 6 years since birth & the Parags are great. They are both informative, thorough, & friendly. My son always feels at ease during check ups. The staff is friendly & accomodating as well. We've never had a bad experience here, they are great.

Both of the Doctors here are very thorough and take the utmost care with my children! We move a lot and this practice has been one of the best we have had. I definitely recommend them!

I have had one of the worst experiences with this doctor i have ever had. My 2 children came in to see this doctor with a common cold 3 times in the same month, this isnt ethical. The Doctor maliciously abused my insurance coverage to get paid. I wont be back nor will i recommend that anyone do business here.

So when it comes to my children - I believe the care they receive is the most important thing that any parent should look at. I researched doctors to see which ones were the best in 2010 when my first son was born. I also asked the hospital staff where he was born what their thoughts were. Hands down, all of my research and the nurses that worked on the maternity floor all agreed the docs here were hands down the best for what we were looking for.
