Our History
Report
At that time, Pasadena's population was about 80,000 and although there were fine private schools in Pasadena, there was not one private Catholic school among them. As the end of the war in 1945 ushered in a time of great optimism and growth, Mayfield's enrollment numbers neared 200. The school needed more space.

For over 85 years, thousands of students have formed special bonds and created memories at Mayfield Junior School. Whether you graduated 5, 10, 25 or 75 years ago, you are always part of the Mayfield community. Today there are over 2,500 alumni representing Mayfield Junior School around the globe. While life has taken our graduates to new places - all are still connected to their Holy Child roots at Mayfield Junior School.

The Alumni Council is the governing body of the Mayfield Junior School Alumni Association. Their primary goal is to organize alumni programs and events that foster both old and new relationships with Mayfield Junior School, its faculty and student body as well as other alumni. Have lunch with students of the graduating 8th grad class and answer their questions about high school and beyond. Help us introduce Mayfield's eighth grade class to the benefits and opportunities of the Alumni Association. Become a member of the Alumni Council and help plan alumni events, reconnect alumni to MJS or encourage alumni to support MJS.
Events
Report
Throughout the year, the Alumni Office sponsors a wide range of events, whether on campus or in cities nationwide. These include milestone reunions, regional receptions, lectures or roundtables on topics of interest, young alumni happy hours, and many other activities. These events are open to all Mayfield alumni.
