Your Trusted Fraternal Charity Organization
Founded in 1980, Unmasons is a progressive fraternal organization dedicated to philanthropy, charity, and unity. With 11 lodges and 8 chapters in North Carolina, we began as a close-knit society rooted in pride, loyalty, and service. Over four decades, we have grown into a nationwide network committed to cultivating friendship, supporting communities, and upholding a legacy of benevolence and brotherhood. Our mission is to conquer challenges and rise in unity through inspirational leadership, including figures like Rev. Roosevelt Peppers and Dr. Robert B. Clark. We focus on youth empowerment through our Field of Moral Department, scholarships for college freshmen, and charitable giving to organizations like the UNCF and American Cancer Society. Our organizational meeting in 1980 at the Greentree Inn in Wilmington, NC, marked the beginning of a powerful movement led by visionary trailblazers.

Today, our national headquarters at 810 Wooster Street in Wilmington serves as the heart of our operations, supporting initiatives across North America and beyond. We pride ourselves on being more than a fraternity and sororityits a family rooted in purpose, honor, and boundless commitment to community. Our leadership legacy includes Grand Masters like Ill. Henry Boulware and Grand Matrons like Sis. Amanda Thompson, who continue to shape our mission. Through annual events like our General Congress and crowning of ambassadors for our Scholarship Fund, we maintain a living legacy that honors our founders vision while embracing future growth.
