Choosing where to vacation in the mountains of Western North Carolina just got easier. You've found Nantahala Lakeside Cabins - a small cabin community on the shore of Western North Carolina's most scenic and secluded mountain lake. A fisherman's paradise tucked in a quiet cove that's been our family home for five generations.
Four cabins - the two cozy fisherman's cabins on the water, a creekside vacation rental tucked back in the cove, and a three-bedroom lodge above the lake. You'll be able to boat, swim and fish from our private dock; bring your own boat, or rent one from a local marina. Stock up at our country store or walk to an informal restaurant.

Location
Report
Nantahala Lake is just two hours north of Atlanta, yet it's worlds away from the busy city life. The area around Nantahala Lake has a rich American history. Original inhabitants included the Cherokee, who lived along the flat ground and in small high valleys. Then came settlers of Scots-Irish descent, who felt at home in these isolated mountains.
