We are open and teaching one-on-one lessons, in person, at our studio and online via Skype/Facetime/Zoom. Hello and welcome to Jammin' Music Studios; Olympia's largest and most in-demand music school. We have been serving Thurston County since 1996. Our studio is full of passionate instructors many of whom have grown up in the Olympia area, taken lessons from local instructors, and have taught music themselves here for many years.
Our primary goal is to teach you to play the music you love while giving you the proper technique and foundation for success on your instrument. This focus has aided us in becoming Olympia's largest music studio. Our instructors teach over 500 students a week which equals out to 25,000 individual lessons taught last year alone.

Jammin' Music Studios is Thurston County's premiere private music instruction studio offering private Guitar, Piano, Voice/Vocal Performance, Drum, Ukulele and Bass Guitar lessons. All lessons are taught one on one between the student and their instructor. A heavy emphasis is placed upon the student's musical interests/goals as well as learning the fundamentals, proper technique and music theory.

Our whole approach to teaching was shaped by these experiences. To illustrate: as guitar players, when we pick up our instruments, we undoubtedly will play music we like. We work on songs that interest and challenge us. There is always a riff, a lead line, a finger picking pattern, etc. that we are trying to master.

Have you or your kids been playing around on an old piano and you aren't sure if piano is something you want to pursue? Learning piano is scientifically proven to increase cognition in many areas of the brain that have to do with coordination, decision making, and problem solving. It also gives you a step up in learning other instruments.

Singing is fun and you can learn to do it better. Our instructors are always focused on making the learning environment safe and the learning process fun. Student will work on music they enjoy as well as songs the instructors choose to challenge and grow their singing abilities.
Students are encouraged to consider committing to at least three months of vocal lessons as singing in front of an instructor can be challenging at first and learning to sing properly can take time.Crystal and Tiffany are the 2 new blessings in our household these days. My daughter fell in love with them both right away.

Ukulele

The ukulele is a fretted string instrument which is, in its construction, essentially a smaller, four-stringed version of the guitar. In the early 20th century, the instrument's name was often rendered as ukelele, a spelling stilll used in Great Britain. The Hawai'ian spelling 'ukulele is very common.
