The Zissios family journey began in the scenic mountains of Greece when co-owner Yianni (John) Zissios started making wine with his grandfather at the age of 9. What started as tradition turned into a passion. Memories of winemaking inspired the Zissios family to bring their legacy to the Shenandoah Valley so they could share their family trade with you!

Blue Valley produces wine varietals best suited to the climate and soil of the Virginia vineyard. These include Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Chambourcin, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, and Muscat Ottonel. All the grapes are crushed and fermented on-site in our 10,000 square feet production facility.

Blue Valley produces wine varietals best suited to the climate and soil of the Virginia vineyard. 100% Estate grown, this wine has good balance and aromatics with hints of green apple and melon. Fresh and fruity, this medium bodied red has a nice acidity with notes of raspberries, black cherry, plum, and violet with a slight earthiness.
