Notre Dame High School
Notre Dame is a Private, Catholic School, currently serving students in grades 7-12. We were founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1955 and have been a model for Mercy in the Elmira and surrounding communities from the beginning. The Notre Dame community currently comprises a faculty of 40 and a student body of 250.

This allows for a small teacher to student ratio which allows for relationship building, accountability and student success. Notre Dame Faculty encourages each student to become an independent seeker and creator of knowledge. Each individual student must assume responsibility for gaining both knowledge and judgment, which will strengthen their faith, servitude, membership in the life of Notre Dame, and their contribution to our wider society.
