Friends of Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge welcome you to explore nature along the Wallkill River. Come for a walk along a trail, bird watch, canoe the river, fish, attend an event, volunteer, enjoy the varied wildlife and scenery. The Friends group consists of volunteers and members who share an interest in the wildlife, the land, and the river.
Our new Visitor Contact Station will be coming to Owens Station Crossing. Please consider donating to the Friends of Wallkill River NWR fundraiser. To cover the cost of our addition to the building and items needed to create a program space we need to raise $7,000. The refuge headquarters is located at 1547 County Route 565 (Glenwood Road), Sussex.
