I think I decided to go into dentistry because I kind of liked the arts and crafts and I kind of liked the science and that was a great combination of the two of them together. My dad was a dentist, and I liked watching what he did and it just seemed like a good fit for me.
I think helping people, whether it be someone coming in, in a lot of pain and we can get them out of pain, or someone coming in that's just unhappy with their smile and we can just life changing, that can change how they look, how they talk, how they eat, how they feel.

My grandfather was a dentist and when I was a kid, we'd go there every year in Pennsylvania and we'd be at his house in his office and all the tools just interested me. And I was always curious and always been sort of mechanical in nature. And dentistry really is just tiny engineering. The most rewarding part is to satisfy a patient's needs.
