At Indigo Family Law, we understand and recognize that we, as people and parents, lead busy lives and time flies. We believe that family is what matters - but we rarely take the time or even want to think about what do we want for our family if we are not around. Even if we have done a will designating who we want to look after our children (and many of us have not), we have not taken the time to develop a legacy for our children.

Brana Williams is the founding attorney of Indigo Family Law. In 2001, Brana started in private practice using the old paradigm way. She named her firm "Williams Law Firm". She worked diligently to build it into a successful practice handling divorces, criminal charges, wreck cases and wills for her clients.

Explaining to you how we're different requires an explanation of what the "traditional" experience with a lawyer is like. If you've worked with a lawyer to prepare estate planning documents for you in the past, this will sound familiar. During the traditional experience, you'll go in and meet with a lawyer who will often times make things seem very complicated and confusing.

I had a bit of an untraditional path to the law. I have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and planned on using that to help pay for medical school or open my own home healthcare business. When I realized that medicine was not my calling, I chose a career in law. I began as an injury and accident attorney, utilizing my medical knowledge in medically sensitive cases.

As the Myrtle Beach area has expanded its identity in the last 15 years, so, too, has Cindy Lemon-Scott. The Indigo Family Law Paralegal went from riding her motorcycle during a pair of local bike rallies to falling in love with the Grand Strand and deciding to make it her home. All the while, she became a paralegal and then increased her role and abilities.
