My realtor Megan Walters contacted Joshua Hoyes with Bur Oak Home Inspections to complete the inspection for the house I’m under contract for and he was there QUICK! He was professional and took time to explain the findings to me, answer any questions I had, and give a few suggestions on best way to fix the smaller issues. Josh did a very thorough inspection of our pre-purchase home. Because of distance and Covid issues, we couldn't be there in person to discuss the results. Josh spent time on the phone with me detailing concerns and distinguishing those needing to be addressed vs those which were cosmetic. I received very good advice, enabling me to address the next phase with the seller confidently.

Highly recommend Bur Oak Home Inspections! Josh is kind, thorough and has great attention to detail. He inspected a new construction home for us and found a number of items that needed corrected. He seems to know the current codes and up-to-date building requirements to make sure everything is well constructed and working properly. He also explains things so they are easy to understand. Because we trusted his knowledge and opinion, we contacted him for another inspection. We have used two other inspectors in the Columbia area in recent years and Josh was definitely the best.
