Sam's Auto Shop did a great job with my AC system. I had alot of issues finding a place that could fix it, but they fixed it in a timely manner and got me back on the road. While there is an auto repair shop on base, Sam's is able to execute more specialized/technical work so I would definitely recommend them to folks who work/live on base.

Sammy and crew do an excellent job with both service and integrity. Prior to, I went to another provider (well rated on Yelp) and came away almost a real bait and switch with the service on my SUV. I have a Ford. Focus 2013 and was having problems for two weeks and I took it to two other places before I took it here and they didn't know what is going on. Saw great reviews here and took a chance and took it here and it only took them couple of hours
To figure out what was going on. Think they kept my car for 2 days and a half but I felt comfortable knowing it was in good hands. Got my car back and no more problems!!! o yea they are super friendly as well. Thank you for fixing my car I will be back!

I will not take my car anywhere else! I have been going here for 20+ years and have never had a bad experience. Not too long ago, the owner (Sam) passed away and I was worried that the shop would close, but fortunately that did not happen. It remains open and the service is still awesome! They are honest, reliable, and make the experience of vehicle failure a little more bearable. The shop is a small yellow building that doesn't look like much from the outside and the waiting area is no frills, but the magic happens in the back. I took my car there to have my battery and alternator looked at yesterday. I was told it was free to have it checked and expected at least a reasonable price. They called saying the battery was $100 (which is about right) and they wanted a $60 installation fee). Not being an idiot I had said I'll just come and get my car. The guy got very rude over the phone and slams down the phone. I go in to get my car and the two of them tried to tell me that they cannot just let me leave without charging me nothing since they spent 45 minutes figuring out whats wrong with my car. I don't normally go out of my way to write reviews, but in the case of Sam's Place I'll make an exception. This is hands down THE best repair shop in Tucson. While his shop doesn't look like much, Sam is as honest as they come and he did a superb job on the repairs I had him perform (dozens of them over the years).
