Dance Etc has been a cornerstone of dance education in Boulder City, Nevada since 1979. Founded by Miss Amy Arnaz and now led by Director Anna McKay, our studio provides comprehensive training in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Musical Theater, Irish, Acrobatics, and Pointe. Our faculty comprises industry professionals with extensive performance and teaching experience, including Broadway veterans and international performers. Services

Ballet

Our Ballet program teaches classical technique with emphasis on proper alignment, turnout, and graceful movement. Students develop strength and artistry through barre work and center combinations. Classes prepare dancers for pointe work and advanced ballet training while maintaining traditional Vaganova and Cecchetti methods.

Hip-Hop

Contemporary Hip-Hop classes focus on street dance styles evolving from African-American and Latino communities. Students learn breaking, popping, locking, and commercial hip-hop techniques. Classes emphasize musicality, improvisation, and personal style while maintaining technical foundation for stage performance.

Musical Theater

Musical Theater training combines dance, acting, and singing for stage performance. Students study choreography from Broadway productions while developing versatility across jazz, tap, and ballet styles. Classes prepare performers for theatrical auditions and ensemble work with emphasis on storytelling through movement.

Acrobatics

Acro classes integrate dance with gymnastic skills to develop flexibility, strength, and aerial technique. Students progress from basic cartwheels to advanced aerials and handsprings while maintaining dance quality. Pointe

Studio Manager Danielle has 30 years of institutional knowledge, having grown from student to management. She ensures smooth operations while maintaining the studio's welcoming family atmosphere.

Instructor

Instructor Gregory brings extensive Broadway and international performance credits. With over twelve years at Dance Etc, he adjudicates competitions and teaches master classes while maintaining university affiliations.

Cailyn

Instructor

Instructor Cailyn returned as faculty after earning her dance scholarship and competing nationally. Her UNLV Rebel Girl experience and high school choreography expertise enrich our contemporary training programs.

Brendan

Instructor Brendan represents our homegrown talent, performing nightly in Las Vegas while teaching next generation dancers. His World of Dance experience and professional performance background inspire students pursuing similar careers.

Questions

What age groups do you accept for dance classes?

We offer classes starting at age 3 through adult. Our curriculum includes baby ballet, children's combo classes, teen/young adult divisions, and adult dance fitness options.

Do you offer performance opportunities for students?

Yes! We produce annual themed performances at the Historic Boulder Theatre. All students participate in professionally staged productions with costume and lighting design.

What dance styles are available at your studio?

We teach Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Musical Theater, Irish, Acrobatics, Pointe, and Couples classes. Each style has age-appropriate curriculum and progression paths.

Are there competitive dance opportunities?

I dance here and absolutely LOVE it! Miss Anna can be strict but she's really nice and cares about her dancers. Her musical theatre class is so fun! definitely take if you like acting and singing. The classass is taught by her and miss Jamie. miss kate the ballet teacher is funny and absolutely amazing at teaching ballet. Her assistant Abby is amazing at ballet and very kind to us. Mr.gregory th tap teacher is funny and strict and amazing at teaching tap. Miss Amy the jazz teacher is nice as well! She is very good at showcaseing specific dancers in there abilities. My child has thourally admired every moment she has spent in this dance studio. She's coming to the end of her second year with Miss Jamie and she absolutely adores her. All of the employees are very sweet and welcoming. We are incredibly lucky to have this little gem right here in our community.

I went to Dance etc. for 6 years when I was a kid and now my daughter who is almost 12 has been going since she was 4. It has boosted her confidence more then anything else. Dance etc. Is like a 2nd family to us, and we could never find a place even half as good. Thank you Dance etc. for starting a family tradition. We truly cherrish you.
