Preserving Tennessee's Hunting and Fishing Heritage Through Conservation
Established in 1999, we are Tennessee's largest conservation nonprofit dedicated to preserving the state's hunting, fishing, and shooting sports heritage. Our mission focuses on habitat conservation, responsible land stewardship, and youth education programs that connect future generations with Tennessee's natural resources. Through strategic land acquisitions, we've expanded public hunting opportunities across more than 1,000 acres while implementing critical wildlife disease research and endangered species protection initiatives. Our Tennessee Scholastic Action Shooting Program and Outdoors Youth Summit Camp provide hands-on training in shooting sports and wildlife management, fostering discipline and environmental stewardship. The Montgomery County Shooting Complex, the state's largest public range, offers diverse shooting disciplines from archery to long-range rifle. We administer the Hatchie River Wetland Mitigation Bank, restoring 700 acres of hardwood forest, and have protected 50 miles of streams through conservation easements. Our Heritage Club members directly support these efforts through annual contributions that fund equipment, education, and accessibility programs for hunters and anglers of all abilities. Collaborating with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, we ensure sustainable management of wildlife populations and habitats across Tennessee's diverse ecosystems. Our board of directors combines decades of conservation experience with strategic leadership to advance Tennessee's outdoor heritage. Through transparent fundraising and community engagement, we maintain public trust as a 501(c)(3) organization accountable to donors and stakeholders.

Services
Habitat Conservation
Our habitat conservation programs focus on restoring critical ecosystems across Tennessee through strategic land acquisitions and wetland restoration projects. We've protected over 1,000 acres of wildlife habitat and restored 700 acres of bottomland hardwood forest in the Hatchie River watershed. These efforts support biodiversity while maintaining public access for hunting and outdoor recreation.
Youth Education Programs
We develop future conservation leaders through hands-on educational programs like the Tennessee Outdoors Youth Summit Camp and Scholastic Action Shooting Program. These initiatives teach wildlife management principles, shooting sports safety, and environmental stewardship to thousands of students annually while promoting responsible outdoor recreation.
Shooting Complex Management
The Montgomery County Shooting Complex offers comprehensive firearms training facilities including pistol ranges, 100-400 yard rifle ranges, archery courses, and shotgun sports facilities. As Tennessee's largest public shooting range, it provides accessible training opportunities for recreational shooters and competitive athletes while promoting firearm safety.
Wildlife Research
We administer wildlife disease research and endangered species monitoring programs that inform conservation strategies across Tennessee. Our research partnerships help maintain healthy ecosystems while supporting sustainable hunting and fishing practices through science-based management recommendations.
Land Acquisition
Through targeted land purchases and conservation easements, we've secured over 1,000 acres for public hunting and wildlife management. These acquisitions protect critical habitats while expanding outdoor recreation opportunities, ensuring Tennessee's natural resources remain accessible for future generations of sportsmen and conservationists.
