Aaron grew up in Indiana and moved to Washington in 1997 after meeting his partner on the internet. He went to beauty school at Northwest Hair Academy in Mount Vernon, WA, and graduated with a Cosmetology license in 2003. He worked at the JCPenney salon in Burlington till 2005 before returning to Northwest Hair Academy to obtain his instructor's license.
