The Staunton Augusta Art Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization devoted to providing diverse experiences in the creation and appreciation of the visual arts to children, adults, and visitors to our area. The Art Center also supports artists by offering artists and artisans a venue to teach as well as to exhibit and sell their work.
The management of the Staunton Augusta Center is vested in a volunteer Board of Trustees consisting of a minimum of ten members serving three-year terms. The Board is nominated and elected by the existing Board. The Board meets monthly. The R.R. Smith Center for History & Art is home to the Staunton Augusta Art Center and includes galleries, classrooms, archives, conference space, a garden, and offices for non-profit cultural organizations.
