Ballet
Ballet instruction develops grace, technique, and discipline through barre work, adagio, and allegro combinations. Students master classical terminology while building flexibility and endurance. Our curriculum emphasizes proper alignment and progression for ages 3 through adult.

Mia Filippetti Wise
Owner/Director
Mia founded Filippetti's Dance Academy after studying at Broadway Dance Center and teaching at Elmira College for 31 years. She has choreographed over 50 productions and trained multiple professional performers while maintaining active industry connections through New York City training institutions.
Jennifer Karski
Studio Director
Jennifer brings 14 years of teaching experience and a BA in Dance from Alfred University to her role. Certified in Progressing Ballet Technique, she has choreographed award-winning routines and studied under renowned instructors including Twyla Tharp and Mia Michaels while maintaining competition success.

I use to dance here years ago for 7 years. Went to competition with them for 3 years to NJ 2, and NYC and we won 3rd grand championship nationals. We danced to 42nd Street. Mia was a great dance teacher, and her parents always helped me to. Tom and Marilyn were such wonderful people. Also had several dance recitals at the Clemens Center. This place brings back so many memories. Always will love this place. 💖

They're great! My son loves the all boy dance class and the musical theater class. I really enjoyed the adult jazz class and plan on doing it again next year.
