Gymnastics is a terrific sport for all children. It teaches them body awareness, balance and other physical skills that aid in their overall physical development. Our class program is designed to be a fun, safe experience for your child. Congrats to our gymnasts who have won State, Regional, or National Championships this season!
Docksiders has a very strong competitive team program for both boys and girls. We currently have over 110 girls and boys on our teams. Docksiders gymnasts have won numerous state, regional, and national championships. Many of our alumnae have gone on to receive college scholarships at schools such as NC State, Florida and West Virginia.

The team name, Castaways, was suggested by Linda Petrone. 1975-1976 - The team name changed to Parkettes South. Gary had an association with Bill and Donna Strauss, owners of the Parkettes in Allentown, PA. Parkettes is a very well known team and Gary felt it would help the team's image to be associated with them.
XCel Team

Xcel is an additional competitive program that we are excited to have to Docksiders. The mission of the program is "To provide gymnasts with an opportunity to compete at their highest level of achievement, in an atmosphere of friendship and fun".
The program offers gentler guidelines than the USAG Junior Olympic program and allows gymnasts to compete on individual events if they desire rather than as an All Arounder, though the All Around option is available as well.The level is much less intense and therefore the training requirements are not as strict.

Boys Team

Our competitive boys team is an opportunity for those young men who wish to enter into competitive gymnastics. They also compete in the Junior Olympic Program, competing at Docksiders from Level 4 through Level 10. Our boys team has had success at the highest levels of gymnastics, including qualifiers to J.O. Nationals and former gymnasts going on to compete in the NCAA.
