Some repair facilities will offer a low price to get you in the door and get your car on a lift so they can "diagnose the problem." Then, they'll hit you with all kinds of additional charges and fees to build up the cost of the repair. Unfortunately, once they have the car on the lift, they won't release it unless the you spend at least a few hundred dollars to put it back together broken!
