I am so upset because I recommended Squankhum to a friend after our dachshund had been there. Even though he didn't get his daily meds every day for the 3 weeks he was there, he seemed well cared for. She brought her dogs home yesterday after a lengthy stay due to surgery. One daschund is now 8 pounds. He lost half his body weight. The other lost 3 pounds. The poor dog was seen by the vet who is very concerned. He's now on a special feeding schedule and weekly blood tests. He may have a kidney stone. When she picked the dogs up, they were in coats, so she didn't see the body where you can count

Stay away from this place. They are nasty to people and to dogs. Amy, the woman running the place is one of the nastiest people I have ever encountered. Do not trust your dogs with these people.
