Dr Tony Ioppolo knew that his beloved clients and all the pets of the Southern Pines and Pinehurst area deserved the high quality, personalized, local, hands on care that cannot be given by a corporation. Pinehurst Animal Hospital and Dental Clinic is proud to offer acupuncture services to our dog and cat patients. Acupuncture is the practice of inserting thin, sterile needles into specific sites on the body along nerve pathways and blood vessels. It has been used for thousands of years in people as well as animals.

Dr. Tony Ioppolo obtained his undergraduate degree in Animal Science with a minor in Chemistry from Louisiana Tech University in 2004. He then went back home to Baton Rouge Louisiana where he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Louisiana State University in 2008. He felt it to be extremely important to continue to offer quality, personalized care that cannot be given by an out of state corporation.
