Willie Long, III is the owner and as of now the sole operator for Carolina Long's Upholstery. His career in upholstery started at a young age while working for his father at his shop, Long's Upholstery, which at the time was located off broad river road. Willie went on to earn a masters degree in Upholstery from Midlands Technical College in the early 80's.

I had Willie do a repair on my miata convertable top. The tension wire was pulling loose on both the driver and passenger side of the car. I took it to two places for an estimate and advice. I was told at both places that the top was worth saving but the one place was going to remove the top to make the repair and was therefore more expensive. Longs Upholstery had good reviews so I decided to go with Willie. Fast forward a few weeks later, I just returned from two weeks of travel, took the cover off of the car and the repair Willie had made was tearing a hole in the top. I called him and he said

Carolina Upholstery, Willie Long has done a lot of work for me over a 6 year period of my building hot rod cars, i.e. 66 Nova, 69 tube chassis pro street Camaro, 37 Ford 3 Window Coupe, 55 Chevy all high dollar vehicles and also a piece of furniture for my wife. I can't say enough good about his quality of work, dependability and reasonable pricing if not a 5 star plus, I would not keep coming back .I was new in Myrtle Beach and was coming back to my home town in Va.to get painting ,machine work and upholstery until a friend suggested that I call and meet Mr Long.
