Services
Psoriasis Diagnosis
Our diagnostic process includes a thorough examination of symptoms, medical history review, and specialized testing to confirm psoriasis and determine its severity. Early and accurate diagnosis enables targeted treatment planning, helping patients understand their condition and available therapies. This foundational step ensures effective long-term management.
UV Light Therapy
This treatment uses controlled UV light exposure to slow rapid skin cell growth, reducing inflammation and plaque buildup. Administered 3-4 times weekly, it offers significant improvement within 8 weeks. Ideal for moderate to severe cases, its a non-invasive option with proven results.
Biologic Injections
Biologic agents are injected medications that target specific immune responses driving psoriasis. Effective for severe outbreaks, they reduce inflammation and skin cell overproduction. Patients receive close monitoring to balance therapeutic benefits with potential immune-related side effects.
Topical Treatments
Customized topical regimens, including corticosteroids and natural formulations, address mild to moderate psoriasis. These treatments reduce scaling and inflammation through consistent application. We guide patients on proper usage to maximize efficacy while minimizing side effects.
Laser Therapy
Laser therapy delivers concentrated UV rays to affected areas, offering faster relief for severe plaques. This targeted approach minimizes exposure to healthy skin, accelerating symptom improvement. Its ideal for localized, treatment-resistant outbreaks.

DR. Tokerak is an excellent doctor with a wonderful personality! I've used him for over 12 years for my son, daughter as nd myself. We have always been happy with the care he has provided to my family.

I have been seeing Dr. Tokarek for more than 15 years for various skin issues including eczema and psoriasis. The first time I went to see him, I had been to two other doctors before and had tried many different prescriptions, all with poor results. Dr. Tokarek was able to diagnose it immediately, and the medicine that he prescribed worked. He has always been able to see me quickly when I have a problem. I've recommended him to countless people, including my daughter and mother-in-law. Both were very pleased with his kind manner and excellent results. He's by far the best dermatologist I've ever

Always pleasant, professional, competent, caring & thorough. Always accommodating. My husband & I have been seeing Dr Tokarek for many, many years, since before the Hartsville office was open. So much more convenient now, as we can walk there.

I know how busy dermatologists are, but I was out of Dr takareks office in under five minutes. My body check was under 30 seconds. I asked him if he could remove a group of skin tags under my eyes. He proceeded to take a large container, l thought it was some sort of dry ice , told me to Close my eyes , and sprayed it right in my face . I had two black eyes for two weeks , and I still had the skin tags . I was 68 years old at the time , and I could tell that the doctor had no time whatsoever for older women . He treats my daughter-in-law , he takes his time with her . I certainly dont want special

A long-time patient of Dr. Tokarek, after having an annual check up, I noticed something of concern. When I called for an appointment, I was told the doctor would not see me for several months. I called the office manager of Dr. Tokarek to express my disappointment and left a message for her to return the call. She did not. I went to see another doctor. The lab results led to some minor surgery. Given this apparent lack of concern for his patients, I would not recommend Dr. Tokarek to others.

I had a rare skin disease, grannuloma annular, and he immediately diagnosed it. I did go to Penn and they confirmed his diagnosis.
