Marty Ray Gordon, father of Justin and Jody Gordon, started Gordonview farm in 1991. Marty's experience with farm life is a result of spending most of his childhood following and learning from his legendary walking horse trainer grandfather, Ray Tenpenny.
As it was read during Ray's induction to the Tennessee Walking Horse Hall of Fame, desire, determination and dedication are the three attributes that inspired Marty to build a simple life on the farm raising horses, cattle, and hay while working a full time job at Arnold Air Force Base.The horsemanship and colt breaking that Ray passed down to Marty is a skill he still uses today.
