Our Services
Report
Your pet can benefit greatly from regular wellness exams or checkups. No matter the age, wellness exams provide an excellent opportunity for us to conduct a thorough physical exam and develop a health profile for your pet. This could help us identify problems early and any other issues that may affect your pet's health and quality of life.
Ticks
Report
What if I find a tick on my cat or dog? First, we will start with a very important Don't: Some sources may recommend burning or smothering or irritating the tick to get it to drop off of the animal. These bad suggestions include using a hot match, alcohol, vasoline, etc. It is important NOT to do this as it may cause the tick to dump the disease organisms into the pet.
Anesthesia And Your Pet
Report
While modern anesthetics are relatively safe, there is always a slight risk. Do not feed your pet for 12 hours prior to admission. Pre-anesthetic bloodwork is offered and recommended before each procedure. The more information we have before surgery, the safer we can make the anesthetic. It takes about 15 minutes to provide the results and can therefore be done the same day just prior to the anesthetic.
Spaying and Neutering
Report
Many pet owners opt to spay or neuter their pets, and spaying and neutering are important for reducing pet overpopulation. What are the options? If you decide to spay or neuter your pet, you have options. Discuss the options with your veterinarian so you can make a decision that's right for you, your family and your pet.
