Distraction Charters is a service company with an emphasis on family deep sea fishing. Our boat is docked at the Orange Beach Marina. We are a 6 pack (six passenger) charter boat that takes you to fish offshore or away from land. Distraction is different than every other charter boat around.

We would like to introduce you to the charter boat Distraction. She 41' Hatteras and is in immaculate shape. She was completely re-done in 2002 and again in 2017. Our latest venture, we installed a new engines in 2017, a new generator in 2019. She is made out of fiberglass and she is well maintained, odor free and very safe.

Right after my dad passed away, I was talking to my neighbor about going fishing for my living. He just so happened to be a co-owner of of a big Charter Boat Marina in Orange Beach and I figured he could give me some advice on how to get into the industry. I told him my childhood dream about becoming a charter boat captain and guide and he just smiled.

There are many different species of fish you can target and catch while deep sea fishing in Alabama. Depending on the time of the year you come fishing, these fish may or may not be in season or available to harvest. If you have chosen Catch and Release as your preferred trip intention and you catch a fish that is in season, you are welcome to keep it for dinner.
