Paths & Pages
When kids engage in meaningful outdoor experiences, they're better able to reconnect with themselves, others, and the world around them in a special way. Society today is fueled by pressure, which triggers an "alert" state: fight, flight, or freeze. This stimulates a stress response, essentially shutting off the part of the brain that allows kids to regulate emotions, solve problems, make good choices, & learn how to connect with each other.

In nature, kids feel safe enough to shut down this "alert" state, opening them up to new experiences, challenges, relationships, and learning opportunities. They learn to trust themselves and their ability to make choices for themselves, deciding together where to go and what to do at the start of each session.

Please practice social distancing during pick-up and drop-off. Look for our van away from park-goers & use our guidance to follow the flow of foot traffic! Designed to inspire authentic outdoor experiences with "the neighborhood tribe" while kids learn valuable mindfulness tools. Families in each pod determine the details of their pod safety guidelines together (with guidance and support from P&P staff).
What to Expect

Our nature van is part of the fun: allowing us to develop a close bond while we travel to beautiful places in the mountains, forests, canyons, beaches and beyond! Giving kids a role in the decision-making process develops their important sense of autonomy, encourages them to embrace challenges, and highlights the value of connection.
