Locally owned and operated since 1911, the name "Schmidt" has been serving the Lehigh Valley and Slate Belt/Pocono areas in the funeral profession for over 100 years. Currently serving the public at two locations, Wind Gap and Nazareth, Pennsylvania, the business was originally established by the late Morris Clinton Schmidt in 1911.

Follweiler, a lifelong resident of Nazareth, is a Pennsylvania licensed funeral director and the owner of Schmidt Funeral Homes of Nazareth and Wind Gap.

Because cremation is becoming increasingly popular, Schmidt Funeral Home offers a full range of cremation service packages, from full traditional services to basic direct cremation, in order to meet each family's needs. While cremation is an option for final disposition, it does not prevent a family from having a traditional funeral service.
