He attended Wichita Public Schools and graduated from Wichita Heights High School. Homer met Bernadine in 1987 at a friends house across the street from her parents home. He would follow her all over the house saying, "you got some meat on you", and wanted her phone number. The were soon married and to this union a son was born, Eric Eugene.
