Originally established as part of the Long Bell Railroad camps, our property maintains historic charm while offering modern amenities for RVers, tent campers, and cabin guests. Located at the base of Timber Mountain within Modoc National Forest, we offer unparalleled access to Shasta Cascade region attractions including Lava Beds National Monument and Medicine Lake. Our 16 full-hookup RV sites accommodate big rigs up to 70 feet, while our historic cabins blend turn-of-the-century architecture with contemporary comforts like kitchenettes and modern bedding.The park features group campfire areas with complimentary firewood, a country store, laundry facilities, and hiking trails through our 4,000-acre pine forest setting. RV Sites
Our RV park offers 16 full-hookup sites with 30/50-amp electrical service and spacious accommodations for big rigs up to 70 feet. Sites feature clean gravel surfaces with ample room for slide-outs and outdoor living. All guests enjoy complimentary hot showers and access to modern restroom facilities.
Cabin Rentals
Historic cabins dating from the Long Bell Railroad era combine rustic exteriors with modern interiors featuring kitchenettes, refrigerators, and comfortable bedding. Units sleep 2-4 guests with options for queen or twin beds, plus outdoor picnic areas with barbecue grills and seating.
Tent Camping
Designated tent camping areas provide forested settings under towering pines with nearby parking convenience. Large group tent sites accommodate multiple parties with communal fire pits and shared amenities like laundry and restroom facilities.
Group Campfires
Daily group campfires feature complimentary firewood for guest use. These social gatherings occur in designated fire pits surrounded by natural pine forest, offering evening entertainment and community-building opportunities for all registered guests.
Country Store
On-site retail outlet provides camping essentials, snacks, and outdoor equipment. Limited hours match office operations with seating available for guests to enjoy purchased refreshments in our scenic outdoor environment.

What RV hookups are available?
We offer 30/50-amp electrical service with full hookups at all 16 RV sites. Sites accommodate vehicles up to 70 feet in length.
Are pets allowed on the property?
Yes, we welcome pets with our specific pet rules available online. Additional fees may apply for certain accommodations.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, checks, and money orders for reservations and on-site purchases at our country store.
Do you offer cabin rentals year-round?
Our operating season runs May 24th through October 31st annually. The park closes for winter maintenance November 1st.
What nearby attractions exist?
We're 15 minutes from Lava Beds National Monument, with access to fishing at Tule Lake and hiking in Modoc National Forest.
What are office hours?
Our office operates Monday-Friday 9AM-12PM & 3PM-5PM, Saturday 12PM-5PM, with emergency contact options after hours.

This campground is nestled away from the highway boasting a lot of great amenities such as bathrooms, showers, laundry service, cabins, RV parking, and tent campsites. You can pay when you get there or reserve your spot online. The attendant is very nice and helped us with a late check in (9pm). If you're tent camping, I recommend something to put your tent on as the area is dirt, rocks, ans pine needles. There is a new playground for kids and a small shop in the office.

The cabins are vintage/rustic so don't expect glamping. The site is next to a pine forest and smells very good. Kinda small, everything is clean. Good base for exploring the surrounding area.

Spent a week here in May, 2021. Loved the peace and quiet. Nice big spots. Great walking on a dirt road behind the park. 30 minute drive to Lava Beds National Monument, but most of that is on the rough road to the entrance where you are forced to drive slowly. Tukelake is about 30 minutes away for groceries.

Great place also has some cute cabins that they are renovating. The only thing is wifi is iffy if you have ATT. But still doable

Only stayed overnight to cycle our tanks and do laundry between boondocking, but the staff was friendly and helpful. The facilities were in good repair and the washer and dryer both worked ($2.00 each so come prepared).

This small campground is far enough away from the main highway so you don't hear any traffic. The sites are spacious and clean. There are picnic tables and even chairs scattered around for seating. The sites are nested in trees for a true camping experience. It is very quiet, we sat outside and listened to the birds and even got to see deer come down from the mountain. The pads are gravel and pretty level. The host is very nice and accommodating. The store has a few supplies should you need something.

We stopped here for the night while traveling cross country. Was a great pet friendly spot to stop for the night. Definitely a no frills basic cabin, but very clean with all the basics. Our toddler loved having the playground to release some energy and thought eating outside at the picnic tables was just the best. There is nothing near by so ensure you grab groceries prior to arriving. Employees were extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again if passing through.
