Dr. Jamie Parker grew up in Kansas City, Kansas, and from a young age, he knew he wanted to become a surgeon. Dr. Parker moved to Athens and began private practice in 1998. In 2001, he opened a freestanding outpatient surgery center dedicated to the care of his patients. After practicing for 14 years in Athens, he has moved his practice and surgery center to neighboring Oconee county.

Dr. Parker is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. It's not uncommon these days to see physicians other than plastic surgeons performing procedures like breast augmentation. Unfortunately, these doctors do not have the surgical training that a plastic surgeon does.

Most reconstructive procedures are covered by health insurance; cosmetic procedures are not. We participate with most insurance companies and financing is available through CareCredit. Great practice with very caring staff and Dr. Parker is so friendly and warm with patients. I selected this practice primarily because of Dr. Parker’s bedside manner and his friendly staff making me feel comfortable. When vetting board certified plastic surgeons, Dr. Parker also had competitive prices. I do not use the practice for Botox, but for the two procedures I’ve had done, I had great experiences.

As a medical professional, I found my experience with this office negligent and not in line with 'standard of care' medical care. An office that does not take vital signs at post-op visits is not practicing good medicine. I would like to write a good review, but unfortunately can not. Doctor was dismissive and inattentive. Mild cosmetic procedures seem to be ok with this office, however, bigger surgical procedures are not a good idea here.

Just had my second post op appointment today after choosing Dr. Parker to do my surgery earlier this month. This was my first surgery ever and I went into this more nervous than I’ve ever been for anything. And I can say without a doubt that him and his staff have given me the most helpful, considerate, and professional experience I’ve ever had with a doctors/medical office. Coolest doctor ever. Every person I came in contact with has been so nice. I’ve looked for a surgeon for months before making my decision, and Dr. Parker was one of the last consults that I had. I made my mind up as soon as I got home that I was gonna use him. He listened to what I wanted and I got just that. I know that I’m still early in the process, but I’m happy with my results.
