Our practice was begun in 1977 by Robert Craig Bridgeman, DMD, in Boone, North Carolina. In 2006, his son, Robert Herrick Bridgeman, DDS joined the practice. With several other dentists in the Bridgeman family lineage, we can say we have been providing outstanding dental care to our patients for over 100 years.
Dr. Craig and Dr. Robbie are proud to carry on that legacy. We offer virtually all the dental services in the realm of general dentistry including, but not limited to cleanings, oral cancer screenings, fillings, crowns, bridges, restoring implants, root canals, simple extractions, and dentures. Our primary focus is in the area of restorative dentistry- fixing, repairing, or replacing lost or broken down teeth.

Restorative Dentistry
Report
Restorative dentistry is that discipline which pertains to the repair and/or replacement of the natural dentition. Although restorative dentistry is not a recognized specialty within the dental profession, it is the area in which our practice has chosen to focus its mission. The scope of restorative dentistry is quite broad, encompassing everything from simple fillings to major oral reconstruction and rehabilitation.
Case Presentations
Report
Much of the dentistry that we do is simply to repair or replace previously done dentistry which is no longer serviceable. Here is an example of some old silver amalgam restorations which, as you can see, have fractured. Ideally, these restorations would be best replaced with gold, or a ceramic material, however for economic reasons the patient elected to simply replace them again with amalgam.
A Dental Legacy
Report
The Bridgeman family and the dental profession have been linked for over 100 years. George Bridgeman, of New Martinsville, West Virginia, graduated from the School of Dentistry at Western Reserve University (now Case Western) in 1899. He returned to his hometown and established his general practice where he continued to provide services to his patients until his retirement in 1963.
