In 1965, in the lunchroom of the IBM facility located in Dallas at 2911 Cedar Springs, 14 employees met and collectively deposited $150 to start IBM Southwest Employees Federal Credit Union and serve the financial needs of its employees. Over time more locations were added and additional products and services were introduced to meet to the financial needs of individuals in surrounding communities.
