A Typical Day

Report

Each day we follow the same routine in the same order. However, as you can imagine, some days we have a longer circle time than others, or a shorter art projects. We take our lead from the children daily to determine when it is time to clean up and move to our next activity. In our infant class we work together with each child's family to create an individualized schedule for their baby.

Encouraging Curiosity – Philosophy

As a healthy family unit, we work together at every stage of your child's development to make them feel loved. We encourage them to explore the world from his/her own place in it. Our program is based on the Piaget theory of adaptation (adapting to the world through assimilation and accommodation.)

Electronic Daily Reports

We understand, as parents, you really miss your children when they're at school. You like to picture who they're playing with, what they're laughing at, and what they're doing. You want to be part of the learning and development that takes place at school. Honey Tree keeps you connected to your little one with our Electronic Daily Reports.

Curriculum

Our curriculum is theme based which means that each week the children explore and experience a new topic through play, language and literacy activities, math concepts, science experiments, art expression, music, movement and more. It is designed to inspire an excitement for learning. Our group activities create open dialog and foster problem solving, confidence and discovery.

Extra Curricular Programs

We are so excited to announce our Intergenerational Learning Partnership with BrightView Senior Living Community! Each month Honey Tree will either host or visit our new friends at Brightview. Beginning in September we will host as many as 9 Senior Residents from Brightview. In our Preschool and PreK classrooms the seniors will work with the children to create art, science and other projects.
