Founded in 1995, we offer personalized Taekwondo and self-defense programs for all ages and skill levels, with locations in Warwick, Monroe, and Middletown, NY, as well as Vernon, NJ. Our programs emphasize life skills such as courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit. Taekwondo Classes
Our Taekwondo classes teach ages 4+ self-defense, physical fitness, and character development. Students progress through belt ranks while learning discipline, respect, and perseverance. Classes are available for children, teens, and adults.
After-School Program
This program combines martial arts training, homework help, and recreational activities for ages 5+. Includes safe transportation from local schools and flexible pick-up until 6 PM.
Summer Camps
Summer camps offer martial arts, themed crafts, and field trips for ages 4+. Staffed by CPR-certified instructors, camps emphasize safety, creativity, and physical activity.
Birthday Parties
Martial arts-themed parties include games, obstacle courses, and a board-breaking activity for the birthday child. Parties last 90 minutes with 60 minutes of activities and 30 minutes for food.
Family Training
Mixed-age family classes allow parents and children to train together. Sessions focus on bonding, fitness, and shared martial arts skill development in a welcoming environment.

Today was my sons first class. Master Bender welcomed my son into his Martial Arts Family with open arms. The class was organized and interactive. In addition the class fostered leadership skills, confidence and strength. My son left looking forward to the next class.

My nearly 5 year old son is in the Dragons TKD class. He loves the class and Master Bender is a fantastic instructor. He is always positive and energetic and lets the kids have fun while also keeping them disciplined. We are seeing our son's focus increase and he is so happy every week as he improves on certain skills. I hope that my son will continue to enjoy it as when he's older I would love for him to attend their after school program.

Weve been members here just shy of a year and I cannot say enough good things about our experience at UMAC and with Master Bender and the other instructors. My son has a lot of energy and needs a lot of input. He has not only learned great skills, but he has increased focus and achieved new levels of confidence he never had before. When hes not at class he is always talking about things he learned in class. He tries to incorporate the student creed into every day activities and just the other day said when he grows up he wants to be like Master Bender and teach other kids as well. So happy

Master Bender is an outstanding positive role model. He inspires and motivates the children to be the best they can be. Master Bender creates a safe environment where respect is the ongoing theme in all activities. Our grandson has had had an amazing summer. Nikolai looks forward to getting to UMAC camp every day. The staff that works with Master Bender is caring and compassionate. They also have contributed to his wonderful experience.

UMAC is one of the few places you can do together as a family. Master Bender provides such support and builds confidence. He truly is one of a kind... I have been a part of the UMAC family for 4 years and we really are a family. My son at the age of 9 became a black belt and is working his way to become an instructor . Schedules are flexible to fit you. No long term commitment . But once you start you won't want to stop. So much fun and great experience .

My Son entered Master Benders program about 4 years ago now. If you know my son you know how shy he can be, and it all started with a and as part of his communication there. Fast forward to now, hes getting ready for his 2nd degree Black Belt in the spring. Hes also part of the leadership and demo team. He has also helped out with younger students at the school in many ways. We cannot say enough about UMAC Monroe and Master Bender and his team!!!! I highly recommend this program to all ages!!!
