Tennessee Pediatric Society
Tennessee Chapter of American Academy of Pediatrics is a statewide professional membership & child advocacy organization dedicated to the health, safety, and well-being of infants, children, and adolescents. BEHIP training provides pediatric healthcare providers with tools to screen, assess, and manage patients with emotional, behavioral and substance abuse concerns.

PHiiT is a public-private partnership of organizations and individuals supporting the improvement of the physician-led clinical care for children in Tennessee. START helps pediatric care providers learn skills and strategies to implement routine screening using standardized screening tools as part of their health care procedures.

The Tennessee Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics is a 501-c-3 not for profit incorporated educational organization/professional society for pediatric providers.
Payer Advocacy - Pediatric Council

TNAAP's Pediatric Council works with payers to facilitate better working relationships with pediatricians and health insurance plans and to improve the quality of care for children. The Pediatric Council is comprised of pediatricians, TNAAP's Executive Director, and TNAAP's Coding Educator, who represent TNAAP members as a whole addressing important issues with payers.

Focus: Dedicated to addressing minority health, racial/ethnic health disparities and equity and the inclusion of minority members in pediatric practice and leadership.
Programs

TNAAP's EPSDT and Coding Program provides training and educational resources FREE of charge to help you improve the quality of preventive health screens you perform and can assist with Pediatric Coding issues for both general and specialty practices through various resources and services. Educational training programs can be provided at individual practices and customized topic-specific sessions are available.

PHiiT is a broad public-private partnership of organizations and individuals committed to supporting the continual improvement of the physician-led systems of clinical care for children in Tennessee and, ultimately, the health of all Tennessee children. The PHiiT VISION is that every pediatric provider has the tools to advance the practice of outpatient medicine in the most effective, efficient and economic way.
