Size - Is the chip larger than a quarter if it is a "star" chip; or is it longer than a dollar bill if it is a line crack? If yes, replacement is required. Is the damage located in the vital area directly in front of the driver's line of vision? If yes, we can still repair the chip for you, but we need to make you aware that your vehicle might not pass inspection if it is felt that the damage obstructs the driver's vision.
