Phill grew up in New York, graduated with a BS in Construction Management and Engineering from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, and moved to the Raleigh area in 1997. He has been around the construction industry since he was a young child, working with his father completing residential remodeling projects and repairs.

Closer Look General Contracting was established in 2005 by owner Phillip Oddo. Originally started as a home inspection/consulting service it quickly grew, based on the needs and demands of a majority of clients.
