Founded in 1988 by R.J. Cummings, Southland Transportation began operations with small office space in Dobson, NC, and just three company trucks. Early adopters of the service that Southland provides were the automotive and furniture manufacturing industries. Lanes were developed from the Carolina's to the Midwest.

This program is new to Southland in 2021, and was created to further celebrate our driver's accomplishments and safety throughout the year. Criteria to be considered is partially based on our Scorecard Bonus program which measures productivity of drivers in regards to the following categories: Safety record, MPG's, customer service, fueling in-network, attitude and maintaining a professional truck.
