Gallery Orange
On the higher 600-900 blocks of famous Royal Street, the bohemian leading-edge boutique art galleries are springing up as a strong team. The vibrancy of this color is a nod to our British-Dutch ownership (as in, the Royal House of Orange). It also illustrates the Dutch principles on which we have based the mission of our gallery: unique, distinctive artwork for fair market values.

Our roster includes matured, widely-collected artists, as well as artists whose careers are reaching the first of many peaks. Large turnover on available paintings not only prove the popularity of our artists and their work, they also keep our walls fresh, consistently opening space to more beautiful and exciting pieces of art.

My work is about noticing and appreciating the things around us and discovering our relationship to our environment and our emotional responses to it. I am fascinated with my own emotional connections to certain imagery. Each of my works is a process of layering, intuition, and experimentation. My recent work is very process-oriented employing oil paint, washes, and metal-leaf.

Art has always been a tool to express our interactions with and our wonderment of the natural world. Never a direct reproduction of what we see in front of us, a piece of art always carries with it our stories and our connections. Birds, flowers and animals all talk to me of our shared experiences; connection and isolation, love and loss, permanence and impermanence.

Anna Kincaide
Report
The works of artist Anna Kincaide are a gateway to a world that is at once fantastical and familiar, inspired by fashion, photography, as well as elements of the decorative arts. Juxtaposing control and spontaneous disruption, Kincaide emphasizes the hidden, internal landscape of the figures she portrays.
