After taking a locksmith correspondence course a year prior, Elaad started working in the lock and safe industry in 2004. He worked part time in a lock shop while attending college. He was employed at the lock shop for 2 years before graduating college with a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from Polytech University in 2006.
Soon after graduating he began an engineering job. After a year and a half, he realized his passion was with locks and safes and desired to start a lock and safe company. In 2007, Precision Lock and Safe was founded. Since then, Elaad has received his Masters in Electrical Engineering in 2010 (also from Polytech University).

Residential Door Hardware

Pictured below is the residential door hardware that we install. Although not exhaustive, it should give you an idea as to some of the types of residential locks. Mortise cylinders screw into the mortise lockset and are held in place by a setscrew, preventing unauthorized removal. When locked, the bolt is unable to be pried or pushed back (with items like a credit card or screwdriver), hence the name 'Deadbolt'.

Mul-T-Lock

Mul-T-Lock's High-Security cylinders have a special telescopic pin tumbler mechanism with internal and external pins. Both the internal and the external shear lines must be aligned simultaneously in order for the plug to rotate. The patented Mul-T-Lock plug has a special structure. When the top and bottom pins, plug, and body meet, a three-dimensional shear line is formed, creating an almost perfect spherical shape.
