Metro Golf Magazines began in 1991 as Metrolina Golf Magazine, serving the Greater Charlotte (N.C.) area, as the brainchild of Gil Capps, who in 1998 sold the publication to current owner/publisher/CEO Reid Spencer. Metrolina Golf Magazine existed as a print publication until 2011, when the magazine began a lengthy and detailed conversion to the digital platform that exists today at www.metrogolfmag.com.
