Cynthia is our new student of the month. She started two years ago and currently takes lead guitar and music theory lessons from Sean. In that short amount of time she's become one of our premier players in our Rock Band program. Her band, Miss Spoken, who also took lessons at Riffs, have played many shows for us and currently can be seen doing original showcases at the Whiskey in Hollywood.
Rock Band sign-ups are now! Students get together for an hour a week and pick/rehearse songs. First show starts at high noon. Start working on your piece now. The show is ideal for piano, vocal, guitar, flute, and violin.

Bass Lessons
Report
Beginners can start with either fingers or pick - students choice! From the beginning we work on being able to play the bass in time with a drummer, theory and technique. Advanced students can work on slapping the bass like the Red Hot Chili Peppers or Victor Wooten, and tapping the bass as well. Throughout the bass lessons, we focus on interesting rhythmic patterns, building walking bass lines and locking in with the drummer.
Guitar Lessons

They will learn music fundamentals while having fun playing their guitar. Students choose songs and the style of music they wish to work on so they remain excited about practicing and studying their guitar. Beginners learn the fundamentals, chords, proper technique and note reading. We can help intermediate to advanced students with theory, song writing, finger-picking, advanced scales and soloing guitar lesson techniques.
Ukulele Lessons

With only four strings it's a great instrument for younger students. In our ukulele lessons we'll start with a few basic chords and be strumming and singing in no time. You'll also learn all of the individual notes and how to read sheet music. The ukulele is so versatile we take requests no matter what style of music the student likes.
Voice Lessons

Learn to extend your vocal range, strengthen your breathing, and proper tone placement with our voice lessons. For beginners, our voice lessons start with basic posture, breathing, note identification, pitch accuracy, and more. Every voice lesson starts with warm-up exercises to develop and strengthen your technique.
Recitals
Report
We host two Piano Recitals at the Murrieta Library, two Rock Recitals featuring all other instruments and voice in front of our store and three Rock Band concerts at a local venue with stage and lights. Everything is done live. Teachers often perform with students to fill out the songs. Our vocal instructor accompanies all voice students on guitar or piano.
