As a staff and senior accountant with Hood and Strong, I was responsible for planning and conducting audits and reviews for construction, manufacturing, pension/profit sharing plans and other closely-held corporations. In addition, I prepared and reviewed individual and corporate tax returns. After four and a half years, I left Hood and Strong to start my own accounting and tax practice in the South Bay Area.

I initially contacted Denise Brolin at her Morgan Hill office, which she lost. I needed taxes done for my S-Corp, my Sole Proprietorship, and my fiancée's personal taxes. The rates seemed too good to be true. What a mistake this turned out to be! When the time came to do our taxes, she was nowhere to be found. She didn't answer or return phone calls or emails. We didn't hear back from her until tax day, after the last minute extension from the IRS. By this time, we were in a panic and desperately looking for another CPA to do last minute taxes.
