A number of years ago, back in the late '80s, I was involved in a family business that was facing serious financial problems. In the end, the decision was made to file bankruptcy for the business. At the time the business bankruptcy was filed, my father became ill, and I took on the responsibility of taking the business through the Chapter 11 filing process.

At Miller & Miller, we take our responsibility as officers of the court very seriously. We have both a professional and moral obligation to ensure that everyone has equal access to our justice system, and that the administration of that system is fair to all. Many people attempt to file bankruptcy cases pro se, which means without a lawyer.
Scholarship

Every year, our firm grants a $500 scholarship to a Wisconsin high school senior planning to attend a four-year accredited college or university. To be considered for the Miller & Miller scholarship, students submit a minimum 500-word essay on an assigned topic related to bankruptcy or financial literacy.
