Music Lessons Express (MLE) is the only music studio in Tallahassee that provides lessons any place, any time, and any age. You can take lessons either in our studio on Apalachee Parkway or in your home. We teach seven days a week and offer instruction for ages 3 to adult. We love what we do and who we do it for!

Music Lessons Express (MLE) was founded in 2005 by jazz and gospel vocalist Lindsey Benedict, who won several vocal competitions, including X Factor. After winning several vocal competitions and moving to Nashville, Lindsey sold MLE to local blues guitarist Brett Wellman in 2012. In 2016, Brett decided it was time to focus on his band, the Stone Cold Blues, and Mick Metz became the new owner of MLE.

We are the only music school in Tallahassee that offers all of these popular instruments either in your home or at our studio: electric and acoustic guitar, voice, piano, bass, drums, trumpet, trombone, tuba, mandolin, banjo, ukulele, clarinet, saxophone, and many more!. We provide music lessons seven days a week!
Suzuki Program at MLE

The Suzuki method, developed by Japanese violin pedagogue Shinichi Suzuki, offers younger students an age-appropriate entry point to the world of instrumental music lessons based on language acquisition theory. Students are immersed from a young age in the environment that uses the language we'd like them to become fluent in- in this case, violin, guitar, or piano.
Rock Bands

We encourage all students interested in the rock band program at MLE to contact the office and set up a consultation with the instructor before registering. Beginning Rock Band is a 60 minute weekly class open to students ages 10 and up who have basic proficiency on guitar, bass, vocals, or drums (other instruments considered).
Ukulele
Report
Ukulele Class is a 45-minute weekly class open to students ages 8 to adult (we recommend that students under 12 take the class with a parent or guardian). This fun and low-key class will have you strumming along to your favorite songs in no time! Perfect for families, couples, or groups of friends to do together.
